Education Programs
The Sun Valley Summer Symphony (SVSS) offers a variety of education opportunities for music students of all ages.
Sun Valley Summer Music Workshops held at Hemingway Elementary School.
The education component of the SVSS consists of four main programs; The School of Music, a comprehensive year-round music program for local students in grades 6-12; the Summer Music Workshops, a week-long music workshop for students in grades 4-12 held the first week of the SVSS season each August; the Music Teacher Symposiums, held in conjunction with the Summer Music Workshops to offer advanced training to local and regional music teachers and the Adult Education Lecture Series held in the spring offers music appreciation talks that showcase music to be performed by the SVSS the following summer.
